Moon Cycles

Pay attention to how the moon cycles affect your emotions and your personality.  The new moon is a time to write wish lists of what you want to bring into your life.  You can also include what you want to release.  Be specific.  Focus only on that which you want to come to you, not that which you do not want.  The Universe responds to your emotions, not your words.  It hears what you feel, not what you say, so make sure that you don’t have conflicting emotions when you are creating your wish list.  The new moon is a time for new beginnings.  It is the beginning of a new cycle and you can use this time to detoxify your body and mind.  Focus on healthy habits such as good nutrition, exercise, meditation (which you should be doing on a daily basis, regardless) and getting in tune with your body’s cues.  Release old thought habits that have been toxic and re-train your brain to think more positively.  Two weeks later, the full moon will arrive.  The full moon is the time to release your wish list and release it to the Universe for receipt.  A full moon ceremony is a perfect way to release your wishes to the Universe.  The ceremony should be performed within 48 hours of the full moon rising.  Take your wish list outside with you and stand barefoot on the ground under the light of the full moon.  Say a prayer of gratitude to the full moon.  Give thanks for all that you have in your life and all that you are asking for.  If possible, burn your wish list and release it to the Universe.  Since the full moon is about releasing, like the new moon, this is a good time to detoxify and purge your body of that which does not serve you for your highest good.  During each phase of the moon, you should pay attention to your emotions and aim to keep your thoughts positive and push any negative thoughts away when they come.  This is something that should be practiced daily and the more you practice the easier it will become.
