Which one is the next one that will go? I feel like we are in a game of Russian Roulette spinning the wheel and pulling the trigger to see if we will get the bullet every time we venture outside of our self-isolation havens.
Wow…this sounds like the opening script of a juicy horror movie. I LOVE horror movies. I love the fear that it invokes with the scenes that play out, BUT I feel safe watching a horror movie because I am watching a movie. Now, I am experiencing the same feelings, but I am watching my life. Can anyone relate?
STOP. Let’s put this into perspective. The perspective feels the same as a horror movie – a nightmare that we are frantically trying to wake up from – but wait….this is life now as we know it. BUT…we don’t have to play into the fear and the anxiety that it is beckoning. In the moment that we realize we don’t have control, there is the moment that we realize we DO have control.
We have control over our emotions. We have control over how we will react to this situation. We have control of our actions. In return, we will control this Pandemic.
Are you going to choose to ride the train of Fear/Worry/Anxiety? Are you going to choose to allow this Pandemic to overcome you? Or will you choose the train of Hope/Love/Peace? Will you choose to ride into the darkness or will you choose to ride into the light? The choice is up to you and this is in your control.
There is power in positivity. There is power in hope. There is power in choosing to see the positive side of situations and there is power in hoping for the best outcome. Pull yourself up and choose to see the best. Find the power in you to rise above and see this situation as an opportunity for growth, renewal and a new way of looking at the world. You can make a difference in your life and in the lives of others. This is a turning point in the world and we have the opportunity to make great strides.
The power is yours. The power is ours. We all have more control than we give ourselves credit for. So we must choose to lean towards hope and love and peace. We must rise above and reclaim our power against fear and worry and anxiety. We all have the power to make the choice as to which one we will succumb to. Together we stand. All of us are in this together. ALL OF US. Stand tall. Stand united. Claim your POWER and together we will be POWERFUL.
