ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

Be thankful for all that you have in your life.  When what you want in life isn’t coming to you, place your focus on what you already have.  Do not come from a lack based perspective; come from an abundant perspective.  Look at your life through rose-colored glasses. When you do, you will notice that there is always, always, always something to be thankful for. It usually doesn’t take too long to see the blessings in your life.  You can start with the simple fact that you are ALIVE and then go from there!  Take note of all the wonderful things in your life.

Experiences in life are meant for growth, learning, expanding, improving, and training to control perspective. You can choose to perceive experiences as good or bad. You can also choose to see reality as it is or you can choose to see it how you want it to be. This is especially important when your current reality is bleak or stressful. Don’t be afraid to put on your rose-colored glasses to help navigate you through tough life experiences. Your rose-colored glasses will illuminate all blessings in your life.

Life is like a river and there will always be rapids and smooth currents. Change is inevitable. Nothing stays the same. You need to recognize that the river of life won’t always be calm and serene. The rapids are an opportunity for growth and expansion. You need the growth and expansion to move along in life. Embrace it rather than offering resistance against it.

One of the important ways you can create an attitude of gratitude is by writing in a gratitude journal every evening.  Write about the day and all that you had to be thankful for during the day.  You can even make it a living journal and carry it with you to write in as your day unfolds.  This will help you to maintain an attitude of gratitude and stay mindful in the NOW. 

Reward yourself with the gift of gratitude. This simple duty will enhance your life and change your perspective. Greet each new day with a thankful heart. Wake up each morning and take a few minutes to focus on the blessings in your life. Gratitude is a magical opportunity to change the way you look at your life.

Try to find gratitude even in the simplest things in life. Take a hard look at the parts of your life or yourself that you find less favorable and find the blessings within them. There will be times when you have to look harder for the gratitude that you seek. Most of the time you will find it easily.

If you change the way you look at your life you can watch your life change.  Place your focus on the positive and on your blessings and more will come. The best thing about it is you will notice the good things coming rather being oblivious to them.
